Fig. 1 · Saint-Julien 2016, ready until 2047

Fig. 2 · One photo: name, vintage and grapes from the label
One photo fills it all in.
Point your camera at the label. CellarMentor reads name, region, vintage and grapes, puts the bottle in your cellar and gives it a drinking window.
If something is off, change it. What you enter always wins.

Fig. 3 · Horizon: when your bottles are at their best
Know which bottle is at its best now.
Every bottle gets a drinking window from region, vintage and style. Horizon puts your whole cellar on a timeline: what is at its best now, what comes in the next few years and what can rest for a long time.
So that one special bottle is not opened too early, and none fades at the back of the cupboard. Every window shows where it comes from, and you can change it if you know better.

Fig. 4 · Duck breast, from your own cellar
Say what you're eating. Here's your bottle.
Type "something with chicken", "duck breast" or "a crisp white". CellarMentor searches the bottles you actually own, puts the best one first and says why.
- disha bottle that is ready, for what is on the table
- the other wayfor a bottle, the dishes that show it at its best
- servingtemperature, glass and whether it needs an hour of air

Fig. 5 · Three courses, one bottle for the whole menu
A sommelier at your own table.
Photograph the wine list, and the menu if you like. CellarMentor picks three or four bottles that are really on the list, for your dishes and within your budget, with the reason for each.
The screen switches to dark by itself, so it does not light up the table.

Fig. 6 · The cellar, with place and maturity per bottle
Your whole cellar in, bottle by bottle or all at once.
Scan bottle by bottle, photograph a row of standing bottles or a list, or import your file from CellarTracker or Vivino. Create your own places and racks with slots, down to "Lower cabinet, B3".

Good to know
Do I need to download an app?
No. Open cellarmentor.com on your phone and choose "Add to Home Screen". CellarMentor then sits among your other apps and also works offline. On an iPhone you do this with the share button in Safari or Chrome; the app explains it step by step.
How does CellarMentor know when a wine is ready?
From three things together: how long this style of wine lasts (a rosé a few years, a classified Bordeaux decades), what the vintage did in that region, and how far along the bottle is now. The vintage chart has been checked against published sources region by region, and each year says whether that worked out. Every bottle shows where its window comes from, and you can always adjust it.
Can I bring my cellar from CellarTracker or Vivino?
Yes. Export a CSV file and import it via More, Several at once. CellarMentor recognises the columns, adds up duplicate bottles and keeps drinking windows from the file. That costs no credits.
What does it cost, and what is a credit?
The cellar, the drinking windows and the bottle for your dinner by the fixed cellar rules are free, also without an account. When the sommelier reads or advises for you, that costs credits. A label scan or pairing costs 1, a page of a wine list 2. A free account gets 20 a month, Plus gets 300 for €2.99 a month.
What happens to my data?
Without an account your cellar stays on your phone; we only count anonymously which steps people take. With an account your cellar is stored with our hosting provider in Ireland, and only you can see it. A photo of a label or wine list goes to the language model that reads it; that model does not train on it. We show no ads and sell nothing on. The full privacy statement (in Dutch) is here.
Is it available in Dutch too?
Yes. The app follows the language of your phone, and you can switch under Settings.
